Hello everyone, it's been so long since I've posted !

I've had a hard time due to my health problems and I still do ,but I managed to make some cards , with great difficulty ,during the past six weeks and I like to share them with you . I am pleased to see my audience stats and I want to thank all of you out there in you're own  part of the world for your visit ! It is much appreciated !

So on to my cards : This card I made in august after my last post , for a 25th anniversary . It's a zigzag card , with a belly band .

I forgot to  take a picture from  the inside of the flap ! ( I was in such pain and couldn't stand on my legs for  too long  ) But on the inside I stamped some swirly  curls in brown on the page that was meant to write the message on .

Next :  a baby card .

And a baby word card . I downloaded the alphabet letters from the Internet and re sized them , then made the letters come together to form the word . This is the result :

A few autumn cards cards with 3D files. I love my MFT flourish , you will see it again in the next cards ! And  I also used a beautiful autumn green glitter glue . I love the background paper ! It came in a 30 by 30 cm paper pad . ( 12 by 12 inches ) I didn't use a sentiment , so I can adjust to the occasion .

And I was hooked when I saw these cute 3D squirrel files :  I used one of my flower dies  , my MFT flourish die , all cut with my double do . Leaf remnants of another punched die ,small  fabric flowers , glitter glue .

I also made a couple of winter cards : this  one with a spellbinders borders insert . And I did some recycling: The image , upper border and small die cut flowers were cut from an existing unwritten old card .
The image was adhered with foam to uplift , but it is not visible on the picture . The sentiment is stamped in black .

and here I again used my  MFT flourish die , punched leaves and snowflakes . I stamped the sentiment from my winter collection .

Now for a friend of mine who asked me to make some male cards , which I find extremely difficult to make , I went out of my comfort zone , and made the next  ( all 3 D files )

For the corner I used leftover card stock and a  gold sticker . Two tags : one adhered to the card , one fits in the pocket .

Now back to what I'm used to : This image is a sticker adhered with foam pads layered and matted on die cut frames . I used ribbon, golf sticker line, buttons and stamped the birdcage and bird .

And two more cards with the MFT flourish !

That's it for now .

Take care ,

Hugs Rosa

60 th wedding anniversary cards part 2 and new die

Hello again , fall is gently coming on its socks , although we didn't have a summer. Just these last few days we have had some sun . The fruits of my vine are turning from green to darker and  purple . The cold nights from September should give it the sugars . I tasted one but it was still sour .

I have made some cards I would like to share with you .In my last post I said I forgot to take pictures of 2 other cards I made for the 60th wedding anniversary of my upper neighbour. This one is a belt or tab card . I used a 3 D cutting file and added some silver stickers - wedding rings and corner embellishment - white  and silver coloured lace trim . A fabric butterfly , a metal heart hanger and sheer ribbon . My backing papers are free printable .

This next one is a swing card  : very simple , but it took me some time to make the template according to the size of card I wanted ( 14 by 21 cm ) The beautiful roses 3D file is so gorgeous I didn't want to add much , just the pearls and stickers.

Now there is another couple that is also married for 60 years , and I have just sent them my card : I did a lot of handstitching on this one ! You will see 50 on it but I have altered it to 60 after I photographed it !
The roses are 3D .

Now back to my normal size cards . My girlfriend brought me a 3D cutting file magazine a while ago filled with the cutest cats :  I used a doilie that I coloured with a red brown ink pad . And crocheted a double flower which i secured with a brad . I faux stitched the yellow background paper and distressed the other one . I embellished the cat with a small heart and pearl , leftovers from my stash .

Exceptionally I didn't use 3D , but used a gold  flower  sticker and attached it to some background leftovers and cut out , attached to a white paper base and matted on gold paper and adhered to my prepared card .

Next 2 cards on which I used a new double die , here I used one part of the double die to frame an elegant sticker and matted to a border punched background . Added a simple greeting , a flower made from paper and a small flower sticker attached to pale rose vellum and a pearl , and two pale green see through buttons .
The die was used on a  leftover piece of wallpaper.

Here you can see the die better , i used  both parts and attached the frame with foam pads to up lift a bit .
I attached small flowers with tiny beads  to the frame.

As it is august ,the month of sunflowers I made this flip card doing a bit of recycling : An un written card bought long time ago .I didn't want to just throw away,  I loved the pictures and came up with this :

I want to end  my post with another 3D cat and kitten , lovely isn't it ?  I chose to stamp the sentiment Big Hugs

So big hugs to all of my readers and fellow crafters ,
Till next time ,

Rosa

60 th Wedding anniversary cards

Yesterday, my upper neighbours were married for 60 years . We are neighbours for about 31 years now and on the respectable age of 79 the lady is still very vital . She looks after her great grandson of 2 and every evening she comes to chat with me and rubs my feet with nourishing creme as I can't do it myself . She took care of me after my  ( failed ) back surgery in 2008 (I have no family ).

And so , back to their wedding anniversary , some of their friends asked me to make cards . Here are a few of them , from 2 of them I forgot to take a picture , but I will ask her to lend me these cards and picture them.

I first saw this kind of folded card on mariannespapir.blogspot.be about a year ago I think and I just had to try myself . So this is my card for them :

I made the belt from card stock , it closes on the back with Velcro . I hand cut the  hearts first out of a beautiful magazine of flower arrangements from the time that was my hobby . ( I can not do this anymore because I'm disabled . ) And a second time out of card stock and distressed and glitter glued  both . I added the big pearls and with my double do I cut the flower curls from MFTstamps dienamics.

I distressed the edges of the curls a bit .

I used big sized card stock to have a 15 by 15 cm card when closed  . I cut the sides with border succors and distressed them and cut my patterned paper to size and glued it to place . To embellish the 4 corners I used golden stickers and prima roses .For the white paper I used to cover the inside bits I used a border punch .

For my card I used my rose border and corner punch, and some stickers .

For their daughter I made this easel card : sized 15 by 21 cm .

I matted the 3D rose on patterned paper , a white die cut flower shape , that I pricked with my needle pen and some more  patterned papers . I used pearls ,  rhinestones , white small ribbon , a border sticker,  a LOVE word sticker and I cross stitched a dark red ribbon and tied it to a bow . In both the upper corners I stamped a sentiment and hearts .

Opened it looks like this : Sorry for the bad picture , it was a very dark day . For the upper round part I used my rose corner and border punch . And a small leaf punch . To get a lacy look . See next picture .

My third card made for a friend of theirs : And again credit goes to mariannespapir.blogspot.be
You can find a tutorial on her blog .
I used a 3D file , a ribbon , a flower button , die cut flower curls a gold butterfly sticker , patterned paper and
for the two side panels I used paper from a die cut paper block and cut the card stock neatly with my scissor
all  around the die . And then added the pearls and the sentiment stickers .
Here is the card opened  :

And this is what the card looks like when its shut .

I will post the others as soon as I can picture them .

Have a great vacation where ever you are headed and take care !

Hugs, Rosa

All set for the summer ?

Hello to all of you ,
I hope you are all doing fine ? After having spent a week on my terrace the last week of May , the weather has turned for the worse , so the last two weeks we have lots of rain , heavy winds , and a great variety in temperatures .

Here are some new cards I've made in the past weeks : This little cutie was a free digital stamp , I coloured and matted . I used my double do for the flower shape and a doilie underneath. . I embellished  with  rhinestones .

And this beautiful cat is a 3D file from a 3D magazine special of cats .
I positioned  my patterned paper so that the bird on the branch ,which I highlighted with a pencil , would become part of my subject . I used a corner stamp and ribbon that I slightly twisted , rhinestones and a punched border .On the border I stamped some frogs , and added a butterfly .

For the next card  I used my rose border and corner punch . A doilie , my 3D file ,this beautiful peony , a tag that came with the file and again some rhinestones . And I highlighted the center of the flower with a yellow-copper gel pen .I also used a scrap piece of  the patterned paper I used for the cat .

I used to have irises in my garden , and I took them out and divided them and put them in again , about a year before I became invalid because of a failed back surgery in 2008 . This year they were blooming again , just like the iris on my next card !

You can see I have great love for flowers :  and here is the queen of flowers :
And I love to cut 3D files and I love vintage ! I punched the butterflies twice and gave their body's some glitter . Added a sentiment from my stash .

I also love to make different shaped cards . For this I used paper from a die cut paper block . Lace which I hand sewed together in three places , green rhinestones and a trim of lace from my stash.

And to end this lovelu bunch of flowers matted on die-cuts with the double do . Pearls , rhinestones , ribbon and a stamped sentiment .

For my last card I used a rub- on border in grey . A trim of ribbon ,  a paper lace heart cut out from a magzine, A single flower with a covered button from my stash .

So this is it for now , take care,

Hugs , Rosa
