Getting creative and recycling things

Hello everyone , time flies . I have been making cards and I have also taken up sewing after watching pictures on Pinterest ......and I started to  learn more about jewelry making . So here are some cards that take us into spring , and,  getting creative with sewing , I made  a pouch or wristlet and a shawl, recycled from garments . Since a couple of months have past again this is picture heavy .

The inside

This is the making of the pouch : I had lace I cut off from a skirt and fabric from a tote bag and another piece of fabric .

I did not use a pattern , I cut a straight piece and rounded the corners with a plate . Just made it all on sight and fully sewed it by hand since I am unable to sit for longer than 15 minutes and also  because my sewing machine is too heavy for me to get out of its place .

 Finished !

Now this black lace scarf I made from a long wide skirt and I added a fine lace border to it . I am quite pleased with the result . Just some small finishes here and there .

So , this is it , until next time , take care,

Hugs,Rosa

Back to blogging

Hello to all of  of you who come to visit my blog ! I have not been able to post for the last five months for a number of reasons ,  but will try to take it up again .

So here are some cards I made recently :

As always my head feature for a card is a 3D cutting file , cut by hand and scissors ,( which takes a considerable amount of time !)   and I like using the  cutting templates I have in my collection .  It is a mix  of Memory Box, Spellbinders , Sizzix,, Marianne Design , Cheery Lynn Designs , and others.

Up until now we had a mild winter after 5 years of very hard winters,  and I am looking forward to  a spring season , because the last 5 years we have also evolved from winter straight to summer , skipping springtime ...... so these Muscari appealed to me , as I was going through my pile of 3D files...

as did the birds...

And then I tried this portrait ,

My last buy was this doily cutting die , it was at sale , so gorgeous ! I made this card for a friend of mine , she fell in love with this cat !

And I could not resist this one : it reminds me to crochet some more flowers !

Sadly last week I was informed that a neighbour unexpectedly died at the age of 58 , and another one is diagnosed with terminal cancer . Therefore I made these cards of condolences .

Also made some cards with flowers , my all time favourites :

Also last week I heard the birds singing like as if it was march , hence this card :

This is it , thank you for visiting , take care ,

Rosa
