Another challenge card for the shabby tearoom week 72 relax and enjoy

Hello everyone,

I' ve made another challenge card for http://theshabbytearoom.blogspot.com/2011/07/week-72-relax-and-enjoy.html .

This card is made of a little birdsticker from Elisabeth Craft design . It is coloured in with pencils and cut out . I' ve attached it to the layered card . The shaped layer is is handcut out of patterned paper ( strawberries ) and distressed and I used a grosgrain ribbon and little flower . A piece of lace trim and a tiny wateringcan at the base .

Week #72 - 'Relax and Enjoy'

 

This is a 3 D picture I assembled on a trimmed lace coaster . I used some rosebuds sent to me by Viola Mahr , tied with a  satin ribbon . I added some rhinestones on the paper lace .

 

 So this is my card , suitable for congratulating someone or as a thank you card

Again due to my heavy pains I have not been able to make but this one card,

hope to be better next week ..

Card for DDCC challenge

Hello everyone,

This is my first time to submit a card to a challenge . the challenge was  a picture of summer colors at http://dutchdarecardchallenges.blogspot.com .

This is my card : A 3D picture , torn , distressed and layered on some backgrounds , one of which I did some faux stitching .

I dressed up my ribbon with a butterfly and a self made stickpin and for the lace on the side  I used double sided tape.  A small heart with an ittsy bittsy white pearl to give it a warm feeling .

Vintage children and sun flower

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a nice weekend !
For my new cards i focused on vintage children .

This first one is a digital stamp I coloured simply with pencils .( It reminds me of my childhood .....,but i'm not that old ! )

I did some layering and assembled the flower.

Some ribbon and a button.

 

The next one is an image I found in a magazine and I copied it 3 times and cut out to make a 3D image .  

I kept this really simple , no buttons or ribbon .

 

The next one I gave a try  on Sewing with pearls . The original had 6 pearled flowers but I only made 4.

That's it for today .Another week is waitin to be filled , enjoy every day of it , because every day is a gift from God , to be used to his glory , whatever our means are .  Even when they are small  , like mine .

Due to circumstances I' ve been swepped off my feet literally and mentally ( all our dreams can be destroyed in a second ) and I still cry a lot because my pain controles my life competely, but I can use my hands to create , always  laying on my right side and hope to

brighten someones day with the things I make . Take care !

Lovely roses

As a child ,loving gardening , I was not peticularly fond of roses . Maybe because my father had yellow and plain red roses and i hated those color's . But about ten years back i planted my climbing rose , blooming white  at the start and shading to a slight pink after .

So, some rose cards then : I love these colors !!!

Here's something else i tried  : Not a rose , but very fun to make . I used a Martha Stewart  border punch .

and made this wheel according to you tube video's .

And here is a combination of a hole pattern , using my stick pin that  I also use for faux stitch technique , combined with a 3 D rose .

And I also made some  shabby bookmarks , handy to have around , whenever  a gift is needed.

This is it for now, maybe i will give a peek at my baroque mini album next time , It is a personal mini that i started in february and it belongs together with a memory book .

Hello everyone,

I'd like to share some cards i have made .  Cards with a high summer feel , although the weather here in Belgium  is pure harvest like  ! But my crafty mojo was back and so here are my cards : A 3d card again and most of them are . About a month ago i harvested my prunes and that was more than a month earlier than normal ! So here's a  little harvest for you :

 Some flowers are due too :

 I used my last little tea-stained tag that i purchased from Viola Mahr 's etsy shop .

I

 A little cupcake card, a bit of hand stitching ( I'm beginning to like it - i bought myself some Madeira Blending filament I will show in another  blog post )
Some lace and glittery stone !

And I couldn't resist this lovely basket !

This is a stepper card , It looked complicated to make , but it was very easy .

And besides these cards I finally made a pincushion ! I had to wait until my pain was less intense as to be able to sit down at mt sewing machine for about 15 minutes to stitch this together . Had to wait quite a few months, because i saw Melissa Philips'wonderful pincushions last winter .They are so gorgeous!!!
I would like to ad something on the upper corners .

This is it for today , and it was quite a long post for me to write , laying down on my right side . So I'll call it a day . Sleep tight !
